1.125/1.120 coal/oal for g43 9mm. any ideas as I have a top end load at pretty much max that's good. Looking back on my notes cfe pp. was very good w/them and my cz 75d. from w/a oal that fit both and I also used w231, cfe being the best but that was a gimme from a good source that had experience loading them previously from here.

5.2 gr of BE-86 has produced very good accuracy with 115/124 gr weight RN bullets for me.

I use 1.130" with 115 gr FMJ/plated RN and 1.145" for 124 gr FMJ/RN for my pistols and carbines.

I am loaded 5.0g of be 86, i dont remember the oal, but it shoots well and is pleasant, i ahot up to 5.8g and it was hot, slinging brass to the next county

Was working up a load for my guns that would work for steel/target shooten w/be/86. From long to shorter cz75d mp9c g43 40 to 9mm wolf. cfe p powder did very good w/115 rmr and 5.2 gr. im no pro but thanks fella's . My w/up was 4.5 4.6 4.7 4.8 4.9 5.0 w/ the g43 @ my coal I got mixed results and a good group under an inch @ 7 yd.

Made me laugh out loud.... RMR 124 JHP 5.9 BE-86 at 1.075 COAL was hurling brass 25' from where I was standing. Now at 5.6 grains with a COAL 1.095 to 1.100 @ 1125 FPS

We've been floating between 5.8 and 5.9 grains of BE86. You don't need that much powder but we were trying to spin spinners with them.

Thank you Jake. Yes as I hike them up I get a better group. Im @5.5gr. w/1.125 oal and the G/43 I carried it and learned w/it a bunch. What im going to do it stick w/ a longer barrel length CZ/G.23 9mm. wolf or my M&P 9c. There all different as we know. Just got in a thou. of your 124gr. JHP's. up next. Steel/ paper. Thanks John.

Let me know how those 124 HP shoot for you. We put a ton of R&D and extra effort in making those bullets be as good as possible. I haven't yet had any feedback on them since we made the improvements to the tooling.

I know this is an old thread, but I finally picked up some BE-86
I still have a few of the 124 gr I bought before Jake moved (I'm getting ready to place another order)

Anyway, I loaded 50 from 4.8 gr to 5.7 gr (5 ea at .1gr increments)

I'll be taking them to the range tomorrow to see how this combo works for me
What I do know, is that BE86 is the most consistent powder I've used yet in my Lee Perfect Powder measurer. It threw exactly the same each time. Using other powders I'd get a slight difference. Typically .1 to .2 or so.

So if this powder is as good shooting as everyone says, and as good as it meters I might be joining everyone on the BE86 train. I'm already on the RMR train. So can't wait to get some of the new bullets

I haven't tried 231 yet, but I have some HP38 that I am going to try soon. BE-86 is wonderful and I have already gone through 5 pounds of it in 6-7 months. I'm only using it in 9mm so far, I still load 38 & 357 with Bullseye.

HP 38 and Win 231 are the same. It's a decent powder and I like it. I'm just looking for a load that I can use to train with that is "light" and is as low recoil as possible. The goal is to work on my skills without worrying about the recoil of the gun for the drills I want to work.

I think I'm using 5.0gr with both the 115gr FMJ and Hard Core match plated bullets from RMR. All of our 9mm love them. I load them around 1.130 if I remember correctly, don't have my notes here at the computer... Very accurate and perfect function in a variety of 9mm handguns (various Glocks & S&W).

Well I just got back from the range and can see why everyone raves about the BE86 and RMR 124gr combo.
First shot at 8 yards dead center bulls eye. Next four all in the center!
Things continued like that until I did something and had a hard time focusing on and seeing my sights.

Bottom line loved the way the round fired, loved the recoil. I'm not sure how to describe it as I wouldn't call it light, but it seemed lighter than Win231 and Accurate 7.

Anyway, I think this is going to be my go to round for target shooting and training.
