There is a possibility that I may be moving to North Carolina in the next year or so and I have been thinking about setting up a small SOT FFL business selling suppresors at guns shows and perhaps trying to sell whatever NFA stuff to LEO's.

While I've been doing random searches around the net about doing such a thing, I've encountered contradictory info regarding how it would be to go about getting the FFL that would allow me to be an NFA dealer to sell post NFA stuff to LEO's and to sell suppresors and transferable stuff to mere citizens.

Does anyone have any experiance in such an endevour? I'm thinking about doing this as a side business to supplement my income as I work on my Ph.D.

any hellp is greatly appreciated.

From the description of your business it sounds like you'll want to work out of your home. If that's the case, make sure to purchase a residence where you'll be able to get a business license at that address (some localities won't per zoning regs), as otherwise the ATF won't issue the FFL. Check the HOA regs too as some don't allow "commercial activity".

Oh yeah, must be nice to have the $$$ for the licenses required to run little part-time side business. :)
