been playin w/this 7.62x39 AR

cheap (for a new AR) built from mostly spare parts, decided to put a Del-ton 7.62x39 brrl on her.
been impressed with the 30 cal pill and getting decent groups at 100yrds.
So far been only shooting crap ammo but ordered some dies. I'll post results with a properly worked-up handload.
P.S. put a cheap shotgun scope on for bench restin'

The forum doesn't allow you to upload multiple copies of the same file attachment. This is done to help optimize storage space on the servers.

However, you can link to the image from anywhere else on the forum. It just takes a couple of steps.

1.) Open up an extra browser tab or window.
2.) Go to the post where you uploaded the image.
3.) Click on the thumbnail of the image attachment so you can see the big version of it.
4.) Right-click or Cmd-Click (Mac) on the image. In the menu that pops up, there should be an option that says something to the effect of "copy image location" or "copy image link".
5.) Come back to this thread, start a new post, and in the reply window, click on the little icon that looks like a mountain with the sun over it.
6.) In the pop up dialog that appears, paste the image link into it and hit "ok."

Voila, your image will now appear in this thread, even though you uploaded it to another thread.

What mag are you using?

The major problem with 7.62x39 AR is the magazines. I've had to futz around a lot with my C-Products 30 rounders to get them to work, and they are still not 100% with anything but FMJ ammo.

I'm using:
c-products 30rd
AR Stoner 30rd
AR Stoner 10rd
Mostly using the 10rd mags because I've been bench shooting for accuracy and the 30's are too long.

AFAIK the "AR-Stoner" mags for the AR15 are made by C-Products - just FYI.

I thought so, they look identical.

I just completed some trigger work, real sweet. Installed some Wolf springs too.
AA1680 is the most popular powder for the commie gun, AA2230 is also listed. I got both

my bushmaster will shoot wolf black box into 1 1/4 for 5 shots at a 100 yards and shoot handloads using vmaxs under an inch. Trick to the mags is use c products then install a wolf extra power ak47 spring in them. Mine runs a 100 percent with those mags.

I'm getting 2" at 100yds with brown bear and fiocchi. The fiocchi brass is getting reloaded tomorrow with hornady 123gr / will post results soon

I like the finger grooves on the magwell. In Iraq my M-4 did not come equipped with a fwd grip, and we would often use the mag well and mag as a pseudo fwd grip. Is that an after market add on? If so, where from?

yes I like the magwell grip very much. It also acts like a funnel for fast mag changes. bought it from my wholesale supplier, I will send you one without mark-up in thanks for your service. PM me
