Anyone know where to purchase the recoil reducer that goes in the stock of a Benelli Nova? Been poking around the usual sites I buy stuff from and can't locate one.
The parts are shown on this page of the Benelli USA Web site. I'd suggest you contact their Customer Service department (see here to select your state) and ask them where to buy these parts. There is also a Dealer Locator link on the Benelli Web site that might help you locate a dealer not too far from you, through whom you could order the parts.
Excellent pricing in shepsan's post. Best I've seen online is $19.95 for p/n 80203 Recoil Reducer Mounting Bracket and $39.95 for p/n 80205 14-oz. Mercury Recoil Reducer, from Long Island Shooting Center (http://www.lisc.net/p377.htm).
I also scored mine from D & R sports. I also ordered a choke tube from them but they never sent it or billed me for it. The web receit had it on the bill yet they never charged my card for it but the packing slip still had it listed. Kind of ticked me off that they never mentioned why they decided not to sell me the choke tube. Must be they decided that I didn't need it. *Shrug* Prolly won't be ordering from them there folks again.
Could be they didn't charge you yet and didn't ship you the missing item from your order because they were out of stock. That happens to me all the time. The more reputable businesses won't charge you for items on back-order, until they have them and ship them to you.
Some companies do partial shipments, like it appears you received, or hold off on shipment until they have everything in stock and then deliver it so it all arrives the same time. Some even give you the choice.
Why not call or e-mail them and ask? It's obvious they know you ordered it if it's on the packing slip.
Most places I shop at will let me know if something is on backorder and whatnot. I shouldn't have to call them or email them. I understand what you are saying but I am just a tad ticked off that they didn't tell me the reasoning behind it in the first place.
I agree with you, Sir, you shouldn't have to track them down for that kind of info, they should be offering it up freely if they want return customers.
