I was searching the forum on this topic, and read (for instance) cslinger's range report on the 92A1
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=593714&highlight=beretta+92A1+grips
My question really has to do with grips for the 92A1.
I have the gun. It feels really big. But with our Glock 19, my finger seems to be too long for the trigger (on the Glock) whereas it feels just right on the Beretta.
Yet, grip-wise, I seem to have a better hold on the Glock.
I keep reading so many people on THR that say they have small hands, so I am wondering, surely there can't be THAT many handgun owners with small hands? My hands are not small but not honking huge either like those I see on some of our servicemen (the 92 looks just right for them, it seems). I do have long fingers though, which may be why I find the Glock trigger a little too close (past the knuckle crease, and I am using the medium size backstrap).
I was thinking to get thinner grips on the 92A1. I read that the wood grips (which look AWESOME and Beretta was sold out on them for a while) actually make it thicker, so those are out of the question.
There was a company (forget the name) that supposedly made thinner leather grips for the guns, but I am not sure how well those perform. I was also wondering about rubber grips, maybe those might help (or not).
Any advice?
