Silver lines define the grey
Age shows grace and misty fray
A very nicely maintained piece. It's owner took good care of it.

Is that an import mark?

The 92S was my first Beretta, and its still my favorite of the three I have.

I actually like the smaller sights too. A dab of bright nail polish on the front is a big help though. The Berettas are accurate and soft shooters.

Mags are still fairly readily available, and if youre handy with a dremel, you can modify those that dont have the proper cutout without too much trouble.

Dont panic when youre cleaning it and the locking block falls out. It will go back in there, really. :)

View attachment 910118 Picked up a surplus beretta from my lgs. Ridiculous low price. Rough around the edges but smooth and tight slide. Can’t wait to get it to the range. View attachment 910119

You may want to upgrade it with a new locking block when you can. They are a common wear and breakage point on high-mileage examples, and the new, improved blocks are cheap enough and easy to install.

I think the round trigger guards actually look much better than the recurved ones. Nice score, OP!

Interesting when you look at the evolution of a classic. Rounded trigger guards have gone by the wayside and rails have become the norm. I don't necessarily care for where the mag release is located and the sights are small and not replaceable. But it is the original model and those aren't being made anymore. I think I will like it. Only thing I plan on changing may be the grips. Thanks for the thumbs up guy So!

I got one a while back and didn't like the pitting in the barrel mine had, so - I just updated the barrel and locking block, spring and rod all with new parts, all direct drop in, same as current production for 92FS.

The grips ---

The original grips shown have the large Beretta logo , which is very cool. Also , those old plastic grips contribute to a certain resonant sound when you manually cycle the action.
Your gun , not mine , but don't be in a hurry to swap out those nice old panels.

Oh - If you don't already have experience with Beretta grip screws , the slots are ridiculously fine. You need to buy - or as I did modify - a Beretta specific screwdriver , otherwise the screw slots will get bunged up right away.

That's what I always thought as well. Felt the recurved trigger guard detracted from the otherwise clean lines of the Model 92.

A set of gunsmith screwdrivers takes care of that issue.
