Ok, I have found my dream carbine!!!
I love .40!
CX4 is definetly my next purchase. I dont have a Beretta pistol right now, although the px4 looks intriguing. So, i want the option with the px4 mag because they have the highest capacity.
It seems the first Cx4's were designed to be used with the 96 mags.
I cant tell if the latest models are a different design that take px4 mags or if that is just a conversion option.
Anyone know the skinny?
Also, it appears you get the full capacity by converting px4 mags with an extra floorplate to get the full 17rnd. True or can you get 17rnd mags ready to go?
Trying to be fully imformed before i go down to my local dealer and order the whole shebang! (hahah)

I have a CX4 in .45 cal and my only gripe is that there is no higher cap mags. I aslo have a friend who has the .40 version, which does have High cap mags available, but like you said they are 92/96 compatable. I don't know anything about whether or not they are modifying the guns to accept the px4 mags sorry...

On a different note if and when you do buy this gun you will not be dissappointed it is a fun accurate gun, with optics or irons.

I have my Irons co-witnessed through a red-dot sight, and it works out great.

CX4 Mag = PX4 Mag

I have the CX4 in 9mm.

It's made before the PX4 series was released, so mine uses the 92 mags.

The newer ones use the PX4 series mags.

There is a chart on the Beretta site that lists which model uses which mag, and also mentions a mag well adaptor that can be used to convert an older CX4 to take the newer PX4 mags and vice versa.

When I'm awake, I'll find you that chart.

arfin greebly-
ok thats what i was trying to determine from berettas website.
The newer cx4's are actually built differently or do they just have the mag adapter already installed?

I cant wait to get this carbine!!!!

what do you guys think of the length of stock?
did you feel the need for optional spacers?
