I have a chance to buy one of these at a really cheap price. It's just the gun, mag, and one box of ammo. I've been offered it for $150. I'm told it's somewhat collectible but I also don't really see much use for it other than fending off attacks by gerbils.
I haven't looked up the price of 22short ammo but I'm not sure I'd ever take this to the range anyway.

Those are great little pistols. A buddy and I sat on an abandoned railroad bridge with a 6pack, a bag of latex balloons, and a pair of Minx. We broke balloons at absurd distances, even if we had to adjust for shell splash.
By all means, get the little bugger. They run amazing well, and they are just fun.

For $150 you will not be sorry you bought it. The 22 short is surprisingly accurate and just getting through a full magazine without a failure is so satisfying. Not saying they fail that often but it is a rimfire. My pistols in 22 short are the Astra Cub, Astra Camper, and a Bernardeli VP. The two Berettas have been sold to a younger collector.

Love the Colt Junior!

I would think it was designed as a purse gun for women, with the flip up barrel, no need to rack the slide.

Bought one new in 1967 for under $40. Neat little gun, long gone.
