I love the P01. But $450 for a conversion kit???
You can get them from Grabagun for $379 or thereabout. They are worth every penny, and then some.

The guy who started this discussion wasn't concerned about helping his kids/grandkids to get ready for concealed carry.
My teen girls are ready to start some pistol training. I'd like to start them on .22 to get them used to handling a pistol before moving up to and EDC 9mm. Ideally I would like to have the transition be ergonomically identical.
I did. You can, too.gc70 said:Read it again, Walt.

I was going to suggest the M&P22. I have shot one and the only problem was finding enough .22 ammo to keep shooting all day. If you are looking for a pair of similar/same guns that is a good choice too. You can buy a full size M&P in 9mm when the young ladies are ready to move up and nothing will be strange to them. I'm sure they are smart enough to figure out two different guns when need be but if you think that's best, dad knows best...I appreciate all of the suggestions. I think I'm going to pick up a S&W M&P22 Compact. It will be a while until they are ready to shoot a compact 9mm auto. The S&W will give them the feel for it without the recoil.
maybe the Chiappa 1911 .22.
