.357 gets my nod....
With ammo operating at the level it was designed for (ie buffalo bore, georgia'
arms etc.) it closely approaches 30-30 energy. Flatter shooting than the
.44, shorter lever stroke than either, way cheaper ammo, extremely capable
of deer or hog to 100yds, can keep all rounds in the black at 200yds with
williams 5d sight, with .38spl makes an excellent small game carbine.
Whats not to like.
