Hi All:

As some of you may know (and some may want to forget!), I am on a quest to help myself shoot my Glocks to the same, or similar, standard as my other pistols. To this end, I have already polished the internals to a 2000 grit shine and replaced the connectors with Ghost 3.5’s in my G17, G20 and G21. I also just replaced the triggers with Killer Innovations triggers. These modifications have definitely improved the way the guns behave when shooting. All have optics already - the G17 and G21 have Holoson SCS MOS green dots, and the G20 wears a Trijicon RMR 1 MOA red dot. I have Pearce +2 extensions on all magazines.

What I’d like to do now is secure them better in my grip with the addition of a magwell. I’d like something fairly low profile - not some honking trumpet-sized magwell for competition - but something that will make mag changes easier. Most importantly, however, I am looking for something that will put some upward pressure on my pinky and lock my hand in under the trigger guard. Material isn’t as important as I’d be comfortable with polymer or aluminum. I have medium/large size hands but the factory “swell” at the bottom of the grip frame is too low to apply any upward pressure on my hand. Can anyone lend some guidance with this? Budget isn’t a huge issue but I’d like to stay under $100 each. Thanks so much for your help!

If you want to lock your hand on the grip, I think you'll find that stippling the grip will be your best bet there. It's the only thing that works for me in that respect, and the difference between the guns that are stippled and those that arent is instantly noticeable.

With a two handed grip, my off-hand locks my strong hand to the gun even more, so there's no movement, and the stippling just locks my strong hand firmly to the guns grip. Even one handed, the gun doesn't move at all in my hand when I shoot that way.

Ive got a nice callous on the second knuckle of my strong hand where it gets jammed up into and locks into the underside of the trigger guard too. :)

Cant help you with the mag well, as I don't use them, nor does my pinky come near the mag well with my 17/45/47's. I don't have any issue with mag changes with the factory well's.
