Do any of you buy your ammo online? If so, where is your favorite place to buy from?

I've only bought ammo online once, from National Bullet Company. They were extremely slow and the cases on my reloads are so swelled that some won't chamber iin my revolver.

I know that doesn't help much, but you may want to note this for future reference.

i havent yet but, ammoman.com i supposed to be real good and free shiping to boot!

ammoman.com for .223 and occasionally 9mm
aimsurplus.com for GP-11 and 7.62x54R
cheaperthandirt.com for 7.62 NATO
sportsmansguide.com for 7.62x39
buyammo.com for .45 ACP

Hope that helps.

Yes. Ammoman, AmmunitionStore.com, Aim Surplus, Natchez, and Midway USA (Black Hills source). I also buy much of my reloading needs from Midway USA also.

Depends on the product - Natchez may be cheaper than Midway, but Midway is usually the best combination of cost/availability.

The best thing about the internet is ordering cheap milsurp rifles & ammo and having the big, brown truck o' fun drop them off at yer house.

I love this country.

I live in an Apartment complex and Fedex/UPS/USPS delivers it to the complex office personal if I am not home. It is funny as HELL to see the look on their face when they hand me packages that say things like "firearm ammunition enclosed", "warning explosive contents (e.g. powders/primers)", "Firearm Reloading components", etc.

I either go to walmart or wait for a gunshow to make large buys, even though some online prices are very good you are looking at some heavy shipping charges.

Ammoman can be a real jerk sometimes, the others just do business without any "monkey business".

Really, I have dealt with him on a few occasions and it has always been top notch.

What kind of ammo you lookin’ for? The only stuff I’ve gotten online has been mil. surplus: 8mm, 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, & 7.62x51. If that is what you’re after, there are good deals to be found on the net. You can also locate hard to find ammo online like .351 Winchester. Shop around and look for the best prices (Sportsmansguide.com usually has a good deal), but remember shipping costs will be significant. To really save cash you need to order quite a bit, like 1-5+ cases, or find a company that offers free/reduced shipping.

I would NOT recommend ammunitionstore.com. I got a case of 7.62 NATO from them that was encrusted with corrosion; unshootable and unable to get them to replace it. Still trying, but they seem to have trouble responding to customers (at least to me).

I’m going to make a wild guess here and assume you live in the Bluegrass state. If so, wait about 4 weeks and you should find some good ammo deals at the machinegun shoot (my favorite event till October!) and there are no shipping charges.

Don't forget Cabela's, their shipping charges are very reasonable. Ammoman has "free shipping" but expensive ammo much of the time.

Just got two cases of 7.62 x 39 from Cabela's for $105 each, delivered, heck of a lot cheaper than ammoman's price, and with four nice plastic "ammo cans" included in the price.

Watch for their sales and stock up when the stuff is cheap.

sportsmans guide is good but myfavorite people to work with is natchezss.com, I have had good experiences with both.
