Buying Ammo Online

There's quite a few places, and I have no doubt people will chime in.

I generally buy from the following three places:

http://www.buyammo.com/ (also known as OutdoorMarksman.com)

I have a C&R, so I get a discount at Midway, but they're a little further away than Outdoor Marksman, so packages take a little longer to get here. It seems that Outdoor Marksman tends to have more expensive shipping than Midway, at least in my experience with ammo coming to Arizona. Outdoor Marksman tended to have cheaper shipping going to California (as they're in Oregon) when I lived there.

Ammoman's price is out-the-door with shipping included, and frequently the prices are lower than they are from other vendors. Other times, they're more expensive. Sign up on the mailing list and keep track of what's on sale and so forth. Generally ammo is offered by Ammoman in half-cases (500 rds) or full cases (1,000 rds) with occasional odd sizes.

Midway and Outdoor Marksman will sell you one box of something if you want (though obviously it's less expensive to simply buy one box locally) -- useful when you buy two boxes each of five brands of ammo to see what your gun likes. Midway frequently has sales where they're selling less than dealer price. Outdoor Marksman prices things per-box, but usually offers lower prices for bulk orders (usually by the case).
