I want a small pistol .380 or 9mm I have 2 snuby 38(taurus mod 85 aluminum fram) but they are a little big for the pocket an a little heavy, they are ok with a long shirt but I want somthing a little smaller and lighter and suggestions besides the ones above also 400 bucks max price. The above is a tomcat not a bobcat.

The Kel-Tec P-3AT is so light you won't even know it's in your pocket. I carry it around the house in my pajama pants and forget it's there.

can I trust the kel tec .380 with my life.I normally carry my 38 snuby and I know I have 5 shots.I think the kel tec holds 6 or 7 but will they all go bang everytime???

on the seecamp web page I saw a list msrp of 425 for a LWS 32.So you should be able to buy it cheaper???

If I see a sub-$400 Seecamp, I will skip a few meals if necessary to buy it.

Otherwise I vote for the Kel-Tec.

+1

Well these guns are highly regarded and made slowly so they usually go for
considerably more than msrp. Have you looked at a North American Arms
Guardian?

Kel-Tec P3AT is by far the easiest to conceal and carry on an every day occasion.

:)

Seecamps go for MSRP or higher, as the posts above point out. The NAA Guardian is very similar for considerably less money. The Keltec P3AT is probably more common.

Wow a lot of people vote for the kel tec.
Have all your guns functioned without a problem?
I here many story's of people having to send them back.

A lot of folks voted for Kel-Tec because of the $400 condition in the poll. Run another poll without that condition and you'll see different responses.

I would recommend a Colt Pocket Nine or a Rohrbaugh but again, you can't get them for under $400. Mostlikely you can't even get them for twice that price.

I've carried the Beretta for several years. I love it. BTW it's a Tomcat, not a Bobcat.

I started out with a .32 Beretta Tomcat, a nice gun. I then handled a .32 Seecamp and moved up to that. I now carry a .380 Seecamp ($800) but it doesn't fit your criteria. So for the $400 allowence I would choose the .32 Seecamp.

Here is a link to a comparison of pocket guns;

Good luck

I don't have 1000 bucks for a pocket gun
I was merely trying to explain that the reason why so may folks went with Kel-Tec in their voting and replies was because of the $400 limit. For that amount, my answer would also be Kel-Tec -- their new model ...

... mine has a stainless slide and OD green frame. But IF you remove the $400 limit, then more guns enter the picture ...

... again, such as the Colt Pocket Nine where USED ones normally go for around $800 and NIB ones have topped $1500 in Gunbroker.com

I have 600 bucks and want 2 guns I think I have decided on ruger p95 and a kel tec .380

The locked breach P-3AT. The other 380 pistols in the poll are blowback.
I have owned a Berretta Bobcat and it was not reliable!
I sold it and purchased a 19 oz brick called NAA Guardian and it too wasn't reliable and hurt my trigger finger like the devil to shoot.

I once wanted a Rohrbaugh, but even though they cost $1000 they have had their share of problems.

My second choice and above all the other 380 and small 9mm would be a PM9.

I would personally stay away from the P-3AT as I had some very bad experiences with it. I would recommend the PF9 instead in that price range. I have no personal experience with the P95 so I can't comment one way or the other. Sorry.
