Best rifle in .204 ruger

interested in getting a .204 whats the best brand? accuracy is #1 concern and i'm a lefty but will shoot a right handed bolt if its ambidextrous
any info is much appreciated.

I would first look at Savage and CZ. Depending on want you want both have a couple of options ranging from walking varminter weight to full heavy barrel varmint guns. I'm kind of partial to the CZ 527 Varmint. Heavy barrel but still reasonably light enough to pack around for coyotes if you choose. Mine shoots 1/2" 5 shot groups with handloads. There are many others and others will chime in for sure. .204 is a fantastic cartridge!!

IMHO the 2 most accurate factory production rifles on the market are a Sako 85 and the Tikka T3. Have a look at the Sako 85 Varmint or the Tikka T3 Varmint, both can be had in left hand as well as blued or stainless.

The accuracy guarantee speaks for itself.
Sako: 1" (Sub MOA) @ 100yards with 5 shots using ANY hunting ammo.
Tikka: 1" (Sub MOA) @ 100yards with 3 shots using ANY hunting ammo.
Everyone else that has an accuracy guarantee has only a 3 shot MOA guarantee using match grade ammo. The Tikka's use the same barrel as what is on the Sako's so they should shoot just as well, but I think they only offer the 3 shot guarantee with the Tikka because if it was with 5 shots why would you buy the more expensive Sako when the Tikka is guaranteed to shoot just as well. The accuracy guarantee from Sako and Tikka is any of there guns even the light sporter barrelled jobs.

I love my CZ 527 .204 but my Remington VLS in .204 will shoot circles around it all day long. The CZ has a better trigger and is nicer to carry though, and still keeps a group around an inch. I haven't really done any work on the CZ so I am sure it has more potential than that.

I dont think a fella can go wring with a Remmy, CZ< or Savage these days.

Don't know. tried lemon from Howa and bunch of lemons from Savage, I'm no longer willing spending my money on factory rifles.

Do you beleive any of that article is truthful that relates to the Tikka T3. Here is a few responces to that article you you will see that 99% of all the Tikka owners that respond in these threads will say how well made trouble free and accurate there Tikka's have been. I don't think this clown has any idea how modern guns are made.

1. For a start Tikka's use a fibre reinforced stocks not cheap blow molded stocks.
2. On the wooden stocked Tikka's they use CNC laser cut checkering (I dont think any factory rifle has hand cut checkering and havent for many years).
3. I have never seen or heard of a Tikka that didn't shoot the accuracy guarantee.
4. As far as Plastic Mags being cheap crap maybe he should talk to Accuracy International.
Look I could go on forever but I guess me and all the other Tikka owners don't know what we are talking about I guess we are all (how does he say) ignorant to a real well made gun.
