Best Trigger in a Striker Fired Pistol?

I think the thing that takes a lot away from the Glock trigger is the grip angle and how it affects your grip. But the thing that the Glock trigger is pretty good about is that it's easily modified (for cheap) and made pretty decent with a 3.5# connector and some breaking in with a few hundred rounds. :D

As was said, the P7 has an outstanding trigger. It achieves this by being single action, with the striker fully cocked by the squeeze-cocker.

In more conventional striker designs, the M&P has a great trigger, once it is cleaned up a little. The mag disconnect has no effect on the trigger pull.

I like the pull on my M&P but a little more positive reset would be cool. I handled a SR9 compact at the store this week. I didn't shoot it but it seemed to have a very nice trigger pull. The trigger pull on my P7 is a great on too.

i like the kahr's trigger alot, it is long but it is smooth, real smooth.
personally my favorite striker fired trigger is the xd, maybe i am just used to it, with many years shooting it, and over 17,000rds through the model that i currently have. it was ok at first and then got real nice and smooth, after the first 1k rds i would say.

My favorite trigger out of the box in a striker fired pistol. Is the HK P7 M8 and its variants. Nothing else I've owned or tried is even close in a striker design. My P7 M8 trigger checks out at 32 - 33 oz on my RCBS trigger pull scale.

kahrs do have a very nice trigger pull. I prefer the lighter pull of the P7 but the Kahrs have a great trigger for a small concealed carry weapon.

i have a glock 19 with the ny-1 spring and the 4.5lb glock oem connector (they no longer call it 3.5lb connector).

great set up. the ny-1 spring provides a constant even pull, coupled with the 4.5connector is about a 6-6.5lb pull. but it's smooth.

i took out the ny-1 spring at the range today, and just fired it with the 3.5 connector & stock spring. can't decide which one i like better lol.

nobody can beat glock positive trigger reset. the m&p's and xd's come close after you pay smith's a bunch of money to modify it. (i've owned all 3).

IMO straight out of the box with no mods the Springfield XD has an excellent trigger and it gets better the more you use it, that's one of the reasons I now own 3 of them in various calibers.

I will agree with just about everyone else, P7M8 has a pretty fantastic trigger out-of-the-box.

I would be very interested in your observations and input on the Springer kit for the XD. I have a XD Tactical .45 on the way and I'm about 90% sure I'm going with the Springer kit because of the positives I have read.

Some say the Springer kit comes close to making the XD feel like a "real" trigger, not a striker.

I had Scott Springer do a combat/carry 4# trigger job on my XD45C and it absolutely transformed the weapon. It was a great piece before but after? All I can say is, "Wow!" :) As someone above stated, a modified XD trigger can be better than the trigger in a lot of 1911s. Just because it says "1911" on the box that doesn't make the trigger great. :banghead: I don't know how Taurus triggers stack up in the 1911 world but 99.7% of people would say the trigger in my XD is better than the one in my shooting buddies' PT1911. I can only imagine what a full-on competition trigger job with zero creep would be like in an XD. I carry my gun so that's not what I'm after.... but I'd sure like to try one! :D
