Better than a fanny pack...

Frankly, the fanny pack is outdated (fashion-wise) by about 15 years.
Careful...

Chuck Norris heard you say that.

We finally found something that makes Chuck look gay. Could you see Rooster Cogburn yelling "Grab your fannypack you son of a b*tch!!!"?

After 35 years of carrying, it depends where you live. In NY I never would cosider a fanny pack. But 25 years ago, a ppk or a snubby was as small as you got, so a nice leather pancake holster or a shoulder rig was called for. But in the last 15 years we began carrying around these mini assault pistols, I know someone is going to object to that but they really are getting overdone, so I carry mine in a fanny pack, in Fl. I can't get a comfortable way to carry in 90 plus weather, unless I substantially downsize to a kel-tek 9mm. or a 38 titanium snubby. That being said I can't believe I was walking around in NYC, with only 5-7 rounds for 25 years and am still alive. Why are we walking around with 15-20 round clips again? Oh yes it's those multiple threats jumping out of the landscapers truck. All kidding aside you can't get much better in hot weather, unless you don't sweat than a fanny pack, or an ankle holster, {not with shorts}. Most guys that aren't serious handgunners, give up carrying after a few years, or just leave it in the car, but I could never get my head around carrying half the time. It's the ability to be allowed to carry that is paramount in most guys who get a license. After a while they find an excuse to leave the gun home, and that is usually when the fun starts.

i've no need for one but the front long zipper part looks like it would hold a 4" Black Widow or perhaps a p32/p380. unless you are double-jointed, the backside for carry has more downside than potential IMHO.

I carry a shoulder bag from REI. It's handsome and masculine looking. I ran out of pockets years ago, as I like to carry around the kitchen sink with me.
I can't get a CCW in this part of California, so I don't put a gun in there. If I did, I would look for a model of bag specifically designed for gun concealment, with a Velcro flap (instead of a zipper) I could tear away to get to the gun in an instant. By the way, the bag doesn't raise any eyebrows, not even those of the police. And I couldn't care less if someone thinks I'm a fairy.

It looks nice, but it still looks like a man-purse. About the closest thing a guy can use and get away with is a laptop bag.

Murse / man-purse rules don't count with it has a laptop in it.

I'de rather have my gun, than worry about what other people think.

I usually carry OWB. Sometimes I do wear a fanny pack especially if I have to go into downtown Denver. They are still fashionable there so they don't stick out. BTW--fashion is the least of my worries--I'm jeans and t shirt only.
I do carry a firearm in my GHB but that is always with me in my truck.
The thing I would worry about with one of those man purse things is that the gun is not always on ones person. If someone works in an office--someone could look in your bag. It could be easy to forget about it and leave it somewhere.
Like I said I usually carry OWB and BUG in my pocket but I would prefer the fanny pack because at least that thing is always attached to my body.
Yea--they do look dorky and I'm not a fanny pack lookin type person but in a pinch --at least I'm armed
