I just spent a curse-laden, half-hour trying to get the firing pin stop back into my BHP. It's a MKIII with the firing pin safety. I shot the firing pin across the room 3 TIMES!
At first, I was hoping I could capture the FP fully forward with the safety lever, (ala 1911 series 80 with the plunger) but the spring won't allow it to move forward enough.
I FINALLY got everything lined up and got the stop in. The funny thing is that this isn't the first time I've pulled the firing pin stop out, I just don't remember it being such a PITA. Probably should have used the vise, huh?
