I'm usually too cheap to spend this kind of money, but been a proud owner of the BHP for some time now. Really wanted to leave gun stock but can"t tolerate that mag disconnect plunger any longer.
That little pin on trigger (below frame) surely needs to come out,
the larger trigger pin (on frame) looks like it should come out,
after removing the mag plunger does the (upward pushing) sear-lever tripper need attention? It wiggles forward & back, will it return to the correct position after mag-disconnect removal?
THANKS, gary

some have reported that trigger reset feels sloppy or have had issues on newer (3 coil weaker spring'd Hi Powers) Mk III Hi Powers (I did)...so if you remove it, consider replacing the trigger return spring with an older type 2 coil or Wolff type extra trigger return spring...

Good luck with your...mine has returned to having the magazine disconnect for reliability (on my particular slightly mod'd Practical)

So you reinstalled the mag disconnect?

I have done this multiple times.

The pin holding the trigger in has to come out -- on one particular old (50's) HP the pin was directional and only came out from one particual side -- I put electrial tape over the pins on the frame (with pin exposed) to protect the finish.

After removing the trigger the small pin in the trigger needs to come out -- put a towel or something over the disconnect since it will want to fly off and hide.

Then put the trigger assembly back in -- I have never had an issue after assembly.

On my Browning Competition its mag safety is a different design but the trigger is much better than a typical Comp.

To the best of my knowledge and experience, the trigger axis pin on ALL FN/Browning Hi Powers and their clones is directionally oriented and MUST be driven out from right to left, or from ejection port side to slide stop side, or the gun will be damaged.

The pin is not tapered and indeed can be driven out the right side, but it will damage the gun as follows: A mechanical lock on the pin in the frame was achieved by making the right side frame hole a hair smaller than the left side frame hole, which gives the right end of the pin a squeeze fit. Driving the pin out the right side hole enlarges it and ruins the mechanical lock. It's repairable, but it's best not to do it in the first place. If you do, the pin will start "walking" out the side of the gun every few rounds and will have to be reseated with your thumb. They usually walk out the right side, but I've seen one walk out the left side as well.

NEVER drive the trigger axis pin on these guns out the right side. Not even on a clone.
