What kind of holster setup do you use? In the past I've simply put on a wilderness style belt (even when my pants have no loops) and carried IWB. My body is changing and that doesn't work anymore.

I was wondering how others carry? Here are some criteria.

1. I don't pocket carry, nor will I. I'm not willing to move down to a gun small enough that gym clothes will hold up while being active with no belt.

2. My gym/riding clothes are thin pants that don't hold up a gun no matter how tight I tie them. Maybe it is my body shape, maybe it is the level of activity...I don't know. There also aren't any belt loops.

3. I most often carry a Kahr cw9. I'm really not willing to go any smaller. Sometimes I carry a glock 19.

Thanks in advance!

I use a belly band when I go running or workout at the gym. It holds the gun in the correct position and doesn't interfere with my workout.

If you are running and have loose clothing that won't aid in support I say use a fanny pack. I have a couple older Galco's med. rev. and auto that will carry far better than a belly band if you are doing higher impact activity. If riding or walking the belly band works great.
I tried my G19 the other day in my belly band but ended up having to constantly pull it up but with an Airweight S&W there is no problem. The tee shirts with the pouch under the arm wouldn't be bad biking if you had a loose shirt over it otherwise the draw is quite impeded.

Fanny Packs bounce & slip down less than a Belly Band against a sweaty torso. Ka-Bar/T.D.I. has a high quality, well-thought-out Fanny Pack that effective hides a full-size handgun (FN Hi-Power) in an area appearing no bigger than 5"x7". It looks like it carries little more than your wallet & keys. I sewed a "Nikon" patch on mine so it looks like a digital camera case. No one notices it.

I don't carry while I'm running, bicycling, swimming (obviously), or lifting.

Why? I'm faster than a speeding bullet!

You can get front handlebar packs for the bike that keep the gun concealed and accessible.

You can use standard runners' belt packs (for gels, ID, etc.) for a small--very small--pistol.

Don't forget the pepper-spray; might be more useful in a lot of cases. Clips onto the bag or belt.

I use a maxpedition fatboy on the bicycle. Works well for lots of things, and serves as my official manpurse. But I don't think it would work for jogging.

What type of belly band? Does it stay put when you are really, really sweaty? I can't use one during my workout because I do quite a bit of core exercises every night...it's just too uncomfortable to lay on top of a firearm and do those. :)

I'm not that fast yet. :neener:

I'm not a fan of off body carry. If It isn't attached to me then I just can't draw very fast.

Those are great for short hikes/walks. Summers here get ridiculously hot and humid so I've been hoping to find something smaller and lighter. I'm getting one, anyway.

I think so far I like the Ka-Bar pack that Ghost Tracker mentioned the best. Thanks for everyone's opinions!

I currently use a DeSantis belly band. Had one I liked better, but I lost it the last time I moved and couldn't remember who the manufacturer was. Can't say I ever get really, really sweaty. Never had a problem with it moving though. Also I position it so the gun is in a standard strong hand draw hip position, so I can do sit-ups without it getting in the way. Also is a lot more stable there when running.

I voted fanny pack, because I carry one anyways. I always like to have my cell phone, ID, small folding knife and some water with me. Add some ShotBlox if it is a long 9 miler. My compact Ruger LC9 fits in there very well. It has its own compartment that is on the body side so it is easily concealed by the rest of the pack. I have also used a fanny pack just for a gun when I was in the mountians, cities I am not home to or anywhere else I felt being armed was a necessity and not just a warm and fuzzy. If you can take the weight, fanny packs are great!

I've used belly bands for light-med jogging and working out. Anything more strenous exercise like playing basketball or high-intensity workout, then i'd just put it in a gym bag nearby and keep a close eye on it.

Fanny pack on the bike, arm band on foot.
All I carry in the arm band is a LCP. It requires plenty
of care not to rust. Not big enough for what you're
looking for but it's what I do.
Fanny pack big enough for about anything but can't
stand to wear it running, doesn't bug me on a bike.

I use the fanny pack when biking. It's virtually impossible to lose my gun even during the roughest of trails. Plus, there is less chance that my sweat will soak through the material and end up on my pistol. :D

I don't carry while lifting at the gym. I do carry sometimes during a run. I use a J frame airweight in a smartcarry, but I position the smartcarry so that the revolver is about 3:00.

I use a Pistolwear PT-ONE neoprene holster with my Glocks for working out, riding my bike, jogging or anything active I do. It holds the gun very tightly to your waist because of the stretchy neoprene material and keeps it from bouncing while running. It can be concealed by just a t-shirt and shorts. I usually wear mine as low on the waist as possible, and wear my shorts/warmup pants over the holster. I have tried fanny packs, holster T-shirts, belly bands, Kangaroo holsters for this purpose, and none of them come close to working as well as this holster. No crap, this thing works. I am very pleased with it, and recommend it often to gun buddies who workout.

ETA: I like the PT-ONE the best, because it has two pockets. Big one for the gun, and small one for a extra magazine, OC spray, Folding knife, or keys.

When I bike I keep my lcp in a fobus holster fastened to my handlebar. On the other side my android as my trip computer. If I'm riding with the kids sometimes I just clip the fobus to my waistband.
