Big Hands - Small Gun

What kind of trigger contact do you use when you have a small gun and a large hand.

When I hold my Kahr E9 my trigger finger is long enough that I can wrap around the trigger at the second joint. If I just use the tip of my finger, it's so unnatural that I pull when squeezing. I'm settling for using the first joint as the contact point right now, but would like to hear what others with the same problem have to say.

Clang, I found out a long time ago to use the method that is best for me to shoot a certain gun well rather than what others may think is proper or recommended. I have rather large hands myself and I too use the second joint on the triggers of some guns including at least one of the larger ones. Same thing goes for the proper stance when shooting.

If your not 'pulling' it to the right life is good. If you shoot well it's right for you.
My hand/fingers are short. I have to hold my CZ75B 'incorrectly', but I also hold my own at the range.
The only problem with both of us, is we're shooting differently from one gun to the other. One well practiced grip and trigger 'press' is probably best.

I may be mis understanding, but when I was taught how to shoot we were always told to use the pad of your finger (where you fingerprint is) for best trigger control.

The proper way to fire a handgun is with the pad of the fingertip and not with the joints. Of course, this can be difficult with sub-compact guns. The answer is practice, practice, practice, both live fire and dry fire, until you find a grip and trigger pull that become second nature.

When I bought my Kahr P9 a couple of years ago I had a problem with my trigger finger going through the trigger guard and coming into contact with the thumb on my left hand. But with a little practice, I eventually found a hold that works with the little bugger.
