bipod for AR15

Atlas, be warned not cheap. GG&G makes one, not cheap either. Both built like a tank. Harris is good too.

I use a Harris. Get the one with notched legs and a alpha-bravo bipod lock(extra), makes it much easier to lock the tilt. I have 3 harris bipods two 6-9 and one 9-13. They work just fine. I run the harris 9-13 on my s&w m&p 15 with a DoubleStar Picatinny Rail Mounted Bipod Adapter AR-15 makes it rock solid.

Those usgi bipods from sarco are useless for any sort of accurate shooting.

Harris or B-square mounted to a free float tube is what you want for accuracy.

Dr. Rob is right... don't make the mistake of buying a dirt cheap one first. I did and of course regretted it. I replaced it with a Harris and despite the fact that the Harris LOOKS identical to the cheap one, it is not.

I also opted to get one that does not tilt side-to-side... that's just my choice. Most people seem to like the ones that tilt, but I wanted something that would not move once I planted it where I wanted it. So far, I like it. It a good balance of quality/affordability.

I use that LaRue/Harris combo on my AR. Couldn't be happier.

I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to get a Harris, GG&G, or Atlas. They're all rock solid.

Doesn't collapse against the rifle, but put your hands on a Gripod and see what you think.
Some people like having the broom stick grip out there anyway, and having a bipod in it is pretty functional.
The name brand ones are hella durable as well.
