Was going through some of Dad's old reloading stuff, and found a product catalog for C&H Reloading. Been a while, but seem to recall the press he used for rifle cases back when was a C&H "C" press. But looking at the catalog, they also made some real beasts.....their "H" press, which may have included the model 333. That looks to me like it may have been a precursor or competing design with the Bonanza Coaxial press, which is now Forster?

Internet searches for C&H presses also turns up references to Hollywood presses, as some of the parts like shell holders were interchangeable. There may be a few others like them.

Anyway, anyone still using these old beastie boys and are they an alternative to consider if looking for a good used press? Or stick with modern era?

Even though I have quite a few Dillons, I use my Hollywoods the most because I enjoy using them more.

Another member, Kevin Roher (sp?) has at least 4 Hollywoods on his bench as well. He will probably post too.

Far left is a HW 12 station Universal 3 deluxe. Middle is a Senior Turret (8 stations).

The two on the far right are the Senior single stage and 12 station Turret Tool.

jezzzzz man! that room is beautiful

Apparently I need to add Dunbar to the list. They share the same shell holders as Hollywood and C-H.

Not sure if C-H/4D is a legacy to the original, or a new startup that that has all the rights? But apparently they are still in biz and make high end stuff. Presses and dies.

Just a few presses. LOL.

I now feel very inadequate.

Does your wife live with you?

CH4D bought CH.

I got an old CH press in with a huge reloading buy-out, found on CraigsList about 2002. That deal came with 6 presses. So when a local guy showed up on my home gun forum trying to get into reloading on a shoestring I offered it to him. He used it for several years that I know of, and is probably still using it.

This particular press was a canted back C-press. And it was very strong. The word indestructible comes to mind !

I use a CH press. It is the H-style. It was my Grandfather's and still makes some very accurate ammo.
