7mm Remington doesn't really kick that much in my opinion, the .280, .280 AI, and 7mm Remington all feel about the same recoil wise. They all perform about the same too.

hehehe Coal I am getting OLD and pretty recoil sensitive (with a .450nitro on the way) :what: and kind of figured that BLR is a bit on the light side so was wondering about the recoil. I am actually thinking about a BLR purchase myself ( just cuzz I can) and I love levers is why I was asking.

It kicks, but nothing bad at all. I like the flat shooting 7mm for open country and clear cut hunting.

The BLR action is very strong. It locks up just like a bolt action rifle. With "cheap" Remington 150gr ammo, it shoots great.

Freedom,

Didn't mean to sound like a smart a$$ on my response. The BLR's I have shot were not too bad at all in the recoil department, but they are not exactly heavy given the aluminum receiver. They felt comparable to an average weight bolt action hunting rifle.

The short throw lever makes it very fast for a follow up shot.

I don't know for sure, but it "feels" like steel.

The box removable mags allow pointed bullets, and the bolt locks up front, on the barrel. So its basically a bolt action in a lever rifle.

I like these scopes a lot too. I guess I should, I've got them on 4 of my rifles.

I think this one is 7 3/4 pounds without scope, mounts and rings. I use to have a BLR in .257 Roberts and it was right at 7 lbs or a hair under.

Nice rifle, I was just carefully eyeing your hammer clearance. I'm about to put a scope on mine, are those medium height rings? My BLR is an older 81 with a steel receiver chambered in .358 Win. I'm leaning toward a Burris Fullfield 2x7 to try and keep the package on the small side. I'll likely never shoot it past 200 yd.
