The optional bullet tray that mounts on the side of the strong mount is a nice addition. Leaving powder in the measure overnight or longer will cause a yellow discoloration. If you'll be changing calibers the wrench set and holder that mount behind the press is quite handy. Extra primer tubes help.

Even though Dillon will replace anything that breaks, shipping takes a few days. The spare parts/maintenance kit will keep you running in the meantime; this is very nice when you want to crank out some rounds for the shooting expedition in the morning.

And, of course, primers by the sleeve, powder by the keg, and bullets by the case.

Final tip, if you haven't already: wife her.

Funny you say that I actually have the bullet tray and tool wrenches and holder coming from brian as we speak . And what she got was to see the excitement on my face when I got it. Lol. No really she got one of those memory foam beds well its for me too

I'll watch for the Lee stuff, but everything I see in your picture that isn't blue is green so I don't believe you have any.

And those memory foam beds? Terrible motion, man. You'll find out.

I have lee stuff first post was deleted because I forgot the location in the title

Huge congrats on the Blue coolaid!!! Keep us posted on your experience!@

I'd keep the pro 1000 and just leave it set up for a caliber that you load in lower volumes than 9mm. That way you won't have to retool the Dillon for short production runs.

Yea thought of that but then I also still have an rcbs Jr that I can load my 220 swift I like doing that in a single stage over a progressive

The plastic powder measure will stain even if you empty it out every day. It takes a while, years but they will get dark.

Doesn't that just make it even more cool :) . Hopefully that will help the powder from sticking to the sides cause right now that static is horrible in it

I am interested in seeing your impressions of the Dillon vs the Pro 1000. Most reviews are by folks who have really only used one or the other. It will be interesting to get your perspective once you have it set up.

Were you fairly happy with the Pro 1000?

Well the pro 1000 was a good press if it worked all the time the problem though is there was something wrong with it all the time . I mean it did make good ammo just not very fast and it never stayed consistent . With the pro you had to watch every step the main thing is the primers the powder spilled all over no matter what powder I was using it had very inconsistent throws be off sometimes by .3-.4 gr the worst thing and the stupidest design on the pro is the spent primer hole who would ever think hey just make them go under the press so you have to unbolt the press from your bench to clean them out really . Well I'm excited to get the dillon up and running and will make a comparison I think it will be a little lop sided :)
