I think I may have found a source for body armor, what's the concensus on these 4 makes? I have no 1st hand experience w/ body armor and not afraid to spend a few bucks for the best.

Right now I'm leaning on a Point Blank Genesis model either in II or IIIA and maybe a trauma plate for foodcourt duty.

Go to Tactical Forums and read the body armor threads...of which there are a huge number. Most in the MDLabs forum. Interesting stuff going on over there...

Geeze Skunk, what's with all the body armor posts? Gonna get some? :D

Second Chance makes top notch stuff. I'd advise you stick to something made of pure Kevlar for the time being; at least until there is more research done on the exotics (Zylon, et al).

I agree with Kevlarman, Second Chance can't be beat. I was a dealer for Second Chance from 1976 to about 1990 and sold thousands of units and never had a complaint. As a PI, I occassionally wore it myself. The best armor in the world isn't worth a dime if it's not worn and it won't be worn unless it's comfortable.

Skunk, I told you Second Chance is the cat's meow. Don't settle for less. Get a Monarch Summit! You get a black carrier, and I'll get a white carrier. We'll be ying and yang.

I am sure that "Dark Genius" Or should I say "Dork genius" is making his pitch to be the latest, greatest maker of bullet proof vest .

Just like he was going to make a better stock than Mc Millian,be the worlds best 1911 builder, save the world one CIA operative at a time and never came through with it.
