Bought Primers today $5.50 ~ +\- $0.20 tax

Nice project. Which platform? AR or bolt? I’ve been thinking very seriously about selling my Remington 600 .35Rem and replacing it with a Ruger American in .35Legend but the Ruger in .450BM might make a better 75yd brush gun. The lack of iron sights bothers me.
So far, AR but will probably add a Ruger bolt action to the mix. We just pass a weapon van crap and semi auto anything with a threaded barrel is a Weapon of Mass Distraction

Our local SW had Remington thunderbolts for $42 for a box of 500. First time I have seen them on the shelves in a long time. Expensive though. Maybe the local Walmart will have them again soon at a fair price.

remember when those Thunderbolt was $20/500! at Walmart

Getting back to the topic of primers…
Buying sleeves is annoying but if it’s the only game in town I might play. 6-cents isn’t too much for a primer considering what we are asked to pay & the wholesalers want for ground pork at the grocery store. Fortunately, with a 6-cent primer and a 20-cent bullet my 40-year old $400 revolver will put 30-pounds of GMO-free, no antibiotic ever, free range ground pork in the freezer. That makes the 6-cent primer more worthwhile.

The Sportsmans in Midvale/SLC had some Fiochi SPPs for a reasonable price. I asked a guy standing there if he had ever used them, he said he had used the shotgun primers and they had stretched the pockets a bit.

Scheel's in SLC has CCI SPPs, they were about $75 for 1000. I still think it's ridiculous. They might not come back down to $32, but I still think they will come down some.

I was reconning looking for H4381SC to start reloading for a .243 autoloader, it's expensive too, but I'm glad to see it back.

(Edited, they were Fiochi, not Aguilla.)

My sportsman is 30 minutes away. Factor in gas and time. If I need more SRP… I will pay $90 for 1,000 at my local.

My closest is an hours drive from me, but wife and I have a son and his sig other, in the same town. We're trying to plan a trip to pick some spp, as well as others soon. Having him there would be easy for him to go in every day in between our visits.

I remember buying a single 500 round brick of Thunderbolts at a gun store in ~2018 for $12.99! I only bought a single brick because of all of the bad things I'd heard about "Thunderduds". They all ran great in my 10/22, no malfunctions and ~3/4" @50 yards IIRC. The gun store was a few hours away so I didn't go back for more. If it were closer I would've went back and gotten much, much more. They had over half of a pallet left.
