Not a chance. She actually believes those lies, especially the bold faced lie that "dealers sell to criminals."
Telling a lie like that should trigger the morals clause in her contract and get her lying face off the air.Yes, for an actress, she does an awful job of reading the cue card that sarah is crouched on the floor holding.

What did she say that was so worng? Keeps guns out of the hands of criminals? That's a good idea. And maybe if we educate the Brady people to in fact write sensible gun laws, then we can all agree on what needs to be done to curb illegal gun violence. Maybe CWP, mandatory training and education, and a whole slew of other things would make firearms ownership safer and more productive, while reducing violence as a whole. Not simply gun violence, but all violence.
That, IMO, is not a stupid idea at all. But if no one really clues the people who are pushing for new legislation about what really needs to be done to stem the tide of illegal gun violence, then they will only have the antis to listen to. It's up to places like THR to explain in detail without being condescending to people who simply never had anyone speak to them on a level that they could conceive as being educated and articulate, without demeaning the people who do not understand. get with the program, preserve our rights, and STOP THE VIOLENCE!!!

Are you serious? She is the one who is being condescending by standing there in here costume, taking herself WAY too seriously, and expecting us to take her seriously as if we don't notice that she is FAKE and standing on a set. She is acting like she's some authority and talking DOWN to us with her little doctor's coat on. Isn't THAT the definition of condescending?
Then she says "injured each day BY GUNS." That is wrong because it's a lie. Cars aren't blamed for injuring people when a drunk driver hits them.
Then she says "leading this effort [to keep guns out of the hands of criminals] is the brady campaign to prevent gun violence." That is a lie and a distortion. She KNOWS that criminals are already not allowed to own or purchase firearms.
Then she says "their campaign against illegal guns..." when we all know that the brady liars only campaign against LEGAL guns (to try and ban more of them) and they constantly campaign against LEGAL gun owners.
Then she says "reckless gun dealers who make is SO easy for criminals to get guns." This is a gigantic lie. She knows darn well that dealers cannot transfer a gun without a background check. Totally shameless lies.
Then she caps it off by telling people to "go to bradycampaign.org to learn more how YOU can save lives." Yea heck, what's "wrong" with that? Let's send everyone there to "learn more" from the bradys how you can "save lives."

That is the problem with emotional political topics. The problem always seems real, but they always seem to attack the wrong target. On the problem itself, those statistics need to be broken down a bit more to really get at the heart of the problem. It ain't as simple as the add would have you believe.

Who cares what she says outside the screen? The show isn't real, Kate Walsh isn't Addison whatever.
Short of serial cannibalism or reviving the American Nazi Party, I generally don't care what stupid/wrong/etc. things people do off the screen.
Worth noting that she's a terrible line reader - you can see her eyes go down to the cue cards/prompter pretty often.
(also: hot. But in a strange way, like if you took individual attributes she wouldn't be...)

Most "dramatic" television appears to be written by segmented worms, for an audience of developmentally disabled skinks. By contrast, most of the actors don't appear to be that intelligent or inciteful...

I watch that show, and I like it.
As far as that ad goes... Almost all actors are crazy, whacked out people who live with a distorted sense of reality. So, I'd have to stop watching almost all TV. That ain't happening!
To me, the most unbelievable event surrounding that show is this. The black guy who plays the heart surgeon on that show called another actor a fag on the set. The black guy got sent to some kind of "gay tolerance" training/brainwashing thing for a few days or a week.
The entertainment industry is full of whackos. It takes all kinds...

Makes me absolutely SICK!!! I'll put her in the same boat as Jane Fonda. Just hope it's the Titanic.
Just a reminder, this ad was not sponsored or produced by ABC, so it would do little to protest or boycott them. I don't think they have any power over what their actors do in their free time. If anything, you should try and write a letter to this Kate Walsh and respectfully outline why her position is wrong.

Can you back that statement up? Thats a pretty serious accusation. It probably is true but nonetheless you should back it up just as they should back up their statements.
