Just a few notes on the H&R singles.

-First the one I posted in the photo with multiple barrels have 18" shotgun barrels and a 16" rifle barrel. All of which are legal.

-H&R singles with a case hardened frame (typically the barrels are marked Mod 58, 158, 88, or SB1) are made of cast iron and are pre1988. Post 88 H&R/NEF guns have steel frames (usually with a black finish) The barrels are usually marked SB2. The difference is that cast iron/SB1 frames can only be used with shotgun, pistol and low powered rifle barrels while the steel frame ones can be used with anything. A low powered rifle round would be something like the 30-30, 35 Rem, 45-70, etc and of course any pistol rounds including magnums except the .500 S&W. High powered rifle rounds are anything in modern military calibers, the 308 family, 30-06 family etc.

-Additional barrels can be bought off of ebay but they will have to be fitted to your particular frame. H&R used to do that for a fee but no longer. It is not hard to do but it does take some filing and hand fitting to get them to lock up. If you notice in my photos, I have three barrels for my one shotgun and a long barrel on my other one. Those barrels are not swappable between those guns unless I specifically fit them.
