Hi Guys: I recently acquired a really nice BRNO 7x57 rifle with double set triggers. I took it apart to clean it up, but I can't seem to get the bottom plate off of the magazine. The spring loaded pin that holds the plate in place won't push in far enough to allow the plate to release. Any thoughts??
Thanks,

Bert,

usually they will come off if you take a brass pucnch thats slightly smaller diameter than the release plunger. i have one thats about 8" long & has a wooden handle like a screwdriver. push down wityh the puch then pull back towards the triggerguard & it should come loose. i've had some of them that fit very tight & took a few tries & even a few that took two people to remove. one to push down & back on the plunger & another with a brass puch & light hammer giving the front of the floorplate light taps to get ot to pop loose.

It may be full of dried grease & dirt.

You might do well to remove the whole trigger guard from the stock and get some penetrating oil in the floor-plate release from both sides.

Then whack the release a few times with a brass punch to get things freed up.
