im looking at a browning auto 5 made in 1931. 12 gauge, full choke, ribbed barrel. no vent, just a solid rib. asking price is 700. the gun isnt in excellent shape, the finish has worn off the wood (no shine) but it has no gouges/rough spots. receiver and barrel are both free of rust but the blue is a bit dull. any ideas on a rough price? i also looked at one built in 1951, i believe it was a light twelve, no rib, full choke and it was in overall better shape for 800. help me out!

I've been looking for one as well and those prices seem about right. I've found some in excellent condition here in Utah and they are going for about 1100-1300.

My 25th addition "Blue Book of Gun Values says:

Auto-5 Standard - 1903-1940 MFG. Grade 1, Solid matte rib:
100% = $750
98% = $675
95% = $575
90% = $475
80% = $375
70% = $325
60% = $285
