Hello all, local shop just took in a nice condition used Browning Gold Sporting Clays model w/ 28" ported barrel.

I shoot a Beretta 391 Sporting model as I've never had an issue with any Beretta I've owned, 390, 3901, 391, and my A400 Xplor.

The price on the Browning is quite reasonable, as it only has one extended choke with it, but all I need or would use it for is skeet, and maybe some trap if I have to sub on a certain night. The wood is perfect, not a scratch or ding on it.

I have very little experience with Browning autos, my father has Maxus hunter which cycles anything you put in it it seems, but I understand the Gold is pretty much the same as a Silver..no experience with those either.

They want $600 for it, they've inspected and cleaned it..nice looking gun at what I think is a good price..

Anything to know about these before I bring it home? I have it on a 48 hour hold to think about.

I have owned a Gold 12 & 20 for a while, never any issues. I'm mostly shooting heavier field loads. I do take my barrel & forearm off occasionally to clean & lightly lube the gas piston components.

$600 seems like a very nice price, with the gun in good shape.

Have one and love it. Dead reliable. Cycles anything, including the ultra-light 2.5" loads designed for antique doubles. The last gun I would get rid of and the first one I would replace.
