Budget 243

I bought a new Savage Axis as a budget .243. It shot well after some mods, but overall felt and looked like crap and sold it.
My budget .243 is a used 700ADL, w used Leupold scope. Total cost, was a few yrs back.......$550.
It does .75" for 5 shots of cheap factory ammo at 100 yds (minor stock mods).

I own the Ruder American in .243. It the most accurate hunting rifle I own. It has enough twist so you can shoot the heavier bullets. For the money its tough to beat. I bought mine just to load a different caliber now it goes hunting with me.
