Anybody tried this? According to their webpage:

Item 24B/20 (+p+) 124gr. Jacketed Hollow Point

Browning Hi Power MK111, 4.6 inch barrel------------1330 fps
Beretta 92F, 4.9 inch barrel-------------------------------1304 fps
Glock 19, 4 inch barrel------------------------------------1296 fps

It seems to be stouter by a good 200fps (I carry a G19) then the Golden Sabre 124gr +P I usally carry. The price isn't much higher either, and the load a gold dot bullet so there doesn't seem to be much of a downside.

if its like their .380 ammo they claim they use a got dot, but they don't anymore or at this time.

They are using a very generic hp for their .380 while using the same data numbers as the gold dot.

I will avoid this company for lying to people about this.

Rather than try for a super hot load in one cartridge, I'd just switch to a different one if that is a reasonable option... and in this case it is a very reasonable option. You can switch to a G32, and get 124gr@1350 in a nominal 357sig load. The 32 handles identically to the 19 in every way; shares all the same carry gear and everything; the only downside is that you sacrifice two rounds of mag capacity.

I have both a 19 and 32, but still carry the 19 exclusively, since I haven't had the chance to put the 32 through its paces yet... STILL waiting on bullets. :( If I run both guns with equal proficiency in IDPA, I may start carrying the G32.

I had the same thought this summer when I got caught by a box of their "tac lite" .357 for my model 65.

Another THR member pointed out (answering my question in the thread below) that BB probably just got caught by a suply shortage from speer (along with everyone else) and elected to keep putting out ammo with whatever was available. Can't fault him for that, though I would have definitely liked to see this pointed out on the BB website if indeed this is the case.

I don't really like +p+ ammo. I don't really see the use in beating the crap out of a perfectly good firearm trying to make it something it is not. If you need more power, use a bigger caliber. Your 124g +P Golden Sabers are excellent defensive loads, and they are not .357 SIG wannabe's. If you want a 357 SIG, get a .357 SIG. Otherwise, let the 9mm operate in the range for which it was designed.

IMO of course.

Nods - good advice. Especially since the GS perform flawlessly in my G19, and are FINALLY returning to the market. To be honest, I started looking at BB since for the longest while the GS were either unavailable or priced outrageously. But now that they are becoming available again, it could be problem solved.

The .357 SIG is an intriguing round, but thats for another post....

i have tried the buffalo bore , i dont care much for them they kick like a magnum load. i am satisfied with the standard pressure loads they kick less and i have better accuracy on follow up shots, also i can double tap alot better with standard bullets.

best HP is Gold Got in 115,124 and 147 gr and 147 gr Premium Hydrashoks, these bullets give me easier follow up shots and double taps and tighter grouped shots.

I've also shot the powerful 115 gr.+P @1,415 /511 FPS!

I'm told that DT is calling the Gold Dots-bonded JHPs.

Fantastic ballistics with superb quality control and customer service, to boot!

As I understand Buffalo Bore is not a member of SAAMI so you never know what pressures are used ! Remeber that bullet placement is more important than extra velocity.

Remember that bullet placement is more important than extra velocity.

Irrefutable wisdom .

I recently stepped down from Ranger 127gr +P+ (which is an excellent round) to standard pressure 124gr Gold Dots. Not that I didn’t trust the 127gr Ranger or anything along those lines, but I decided that I didn't need to beat my K9 during range sessions. Beside, since I had a gobs of 124gr Gold Dot bullets for reloading (from Midway for cheap), I would carry what I practice with.
Though I haven’t a doubt I’ve lost some energy in the exchange, I am actually a bit more confident with my carry round due to the increased range time.

Though the situation in the OR might highlight the post-shoot difference, I don’t much think an assailant would react differently between the two rounds at the time of the shooting. I’m fine with standard pressure for my 9mm.

I only mention this since I see you’re already using a bullet perfectly suitable (and designed) for defense. As for Buffalo Bore, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the company, as with Double Tap.

I simply will not buy this companies' product. For my SR-9 in a personal defense load, I am comfortable with Golden Saber 147 gr hp or the Hornady 115gr Critical Defense.
Having said this, shot placement is most important.

BB ammo is stupidly overpriced.
I have been a fan of Doubletap for a long time, and have used it in several different calibers...10mm,9mm,45colt, and 357mag...all have been great.
My ammo of choice for my 9mm's (Beretta 92 and Browning HiPower) is the Ranger 127gn +P+, which has street results, and which I get in a 50rd box for a reasonable price. Plus, this load has proven to be the most accurate in my two handguns.
