Building a 10/22 with no Ruger parts

My near stock 10/22 shoots well enough for minute of squirrel head at 40 yards on in and at $250 for the walnut Sporter I don’t have much in it.

If I wanted to accurize I would start with a barrel and better fitting stock. That’s where the journey would probably end. I do however fully approve of others spending considerable money on any fun, often used rifle, particularly when considering how much practice can be had with a rimfire.
 
I've never felt a need for a clone or the inclination to spend money in RF realm ,other than what I already own in RF.
Those are some Nice looking Rifles I will admit though .:) I kind of feel it's why there are so many calibers ,it's everyone's choice and there's NO bad choices , IMO it's whatever someone wants they're gonna buy or build it .
