Looking at a bullet feeder for the LNL and ran across this site. http://socalsw.com/

Basically has 2 options, one is an adapter to use the Lee multi-tube bullet feeder on top of the hornady bullet die or use his custom feeder which is like the Lee only bigger for more capacity.

Anyone here have any feedback about either option?

Thanks,

Brian

I used the bully dog adapter with the lee multi tubes on top of the hornady bullet feed dies. When the die is set up properly it works great, you can run through the bullets in no time. Also the lee muti tube comes with both the large and small tubes and adapters to use for 9mm or 45.

The descriptions in the OP threw me for a moment, but clicking on the link cleared it up...I'd forgotten that David had changed the name on his website

His first option is the Bully Adapter...it's named after David's bulldog...and I have the 3rd one manufactured. I did a review of it on this forum, but the pictures will no longer show since photobucket put a stop to it. The descriptions are still accurate if you'd like a more detailed explanation.

The Bully Adapter works pretty well once you've tweaked it a bit. It's greatest strength and weakness is that it is designed to work with both small (9mm) and large (.45ACP) caliber bullets. The openings for larger bullets will sometimes interfere with the feeding of smaller bullets. The Lee multi-tube setup wells pretty well also. You just need to figure out how to stabilize the tubes. You can get extra tubes inexpensively if you like to have them pre-loaded...I have enough tubes to have 500 bullets ready before I start loading.

His second option isn't related to the Lee bullet feeding system at all...it is more closely related to the Mini Mr Bullet Feeder magazine. The Mini Mr Bullet Feeder is said to currently be having teething issues

It isn't a feeder, but only a magazine for bullets. You still need to have a separate Bullet Feeding Die (Hornady, RCBS, Mr Bullet Feeder).

The best bullet feeding system on the market is the original Mr Bullet Feeder...but it is a bit spendy

The best bullet feeding die on the market is the Mr Bullet Feeder die. After that, I prefer the Hornady over the RCBS. While both take some finesse to adjust correctly, I prefer metal collets to nylon ones

I depends on what you want a bullet feeder for. If you want one for speed and less manual work you want one with a collator.

If you had one very tall tube you could load a hundred rounds the same as a collated one.

But then you will take just as long filling the tube again vs just adding another scoop of bullets.

Picking up each bullet and orienting it base down and set it into a hole so some other device can set it into a hole sounds like an idea that came from someone with a .gov email address.

You can use plastic tubes from here
http://www.petmountain.com/product/...-507393/lees-thinwall-rigid-tubing-clear.html
for the Hornady bullet feed die.

Don't know tube Dia for 40 or 45 but SC_Dave said 7/16 is perfect for 9mm.
The larger sizes they have are 1/2, 9/16 and 5/8s Pure guess but maybe 1/2 for .40 and 9/16 for .45
You need a paper clip/cotter pin and a hole drilled in the bottom of the tube.
You a way to support them.
(I actually had to cut part of the tube off to get it to clear the roof of my shed.)
SC_Dave made a really cool support bracket and was kind enough to PIF it to me when he got his new electric bullet feeder. Thanks again!

(4 more lights on the roof above, I like lots of light, getting blind in my old age, lights off flash pic in the dark)
