bullet pullers

I also use the RCBS collet bullet puller. Very happy with it. I was going to buy the Hornady puller until I saw a bunch of complaints about the collets not holding up with use. That was good enough for me to go with the RCBS and I have never looked back.

Update...BEWARE! Ordered puller, was charged a different amount from the one on the site, did receive a confirmation number. Paid 1/17/24, emailed for further info promised on 1/30, no response. Website phone number disconnected, two business addresses given...Utah and Idaho. Last number from a strange area code; not responsive to voice message inquiry. I think I may have been scammed! Caveat Emptor!
Did you reveal to us the vendor? I looked but didn’t see it.

Woops! Grip-N-Pull.com.
Yes you already had, my mistake.

Wonder if @himfeld has any insight? He recommended them. Not saying he should but haven't heard from him since.

Went to website this AM and see a 1/30 review also complaining about non-responsiveness. Might be you or critical mass is forming.

The site didn't look obviously scam-like, but who knows. PayPal covers any loss, no?

I have the RCBS collet with all the collets and love it. I saw the Grip N Pull and bought both, handgun and rifle, thinking they would be easier to pull just a couple of bullets but not so. The Grip N Pull works good but you better have very strong hands. I had to use a pair of Vice Grips to squeeze the Grip N Pull enough to pull the bullet. I worked as a sheet metal mechanic for at least 50 years and thought I had strong hands but found out different. I have made an tool to tighten the Grip N Pull handles and they work fine. But I will stay with my RCBS, Never have used the Hornaday Puller, so can't answer if it is a good tool or not, Sorry!!!

So you bought the grip n pull directly from them? Good news for @IWAC I think.

You can buy collets on eBay and a holder. Saw one like the above years ago, when guys were looking for a cheap alternative.

RCBS 22 caliber collet puller for me as that takes care of the three cartridges I load for now. I broke the handle on my old RCBS inertia puller for pistol calibers and replaced it with a Lyman simply because the hand grip looked more comfortable than the RCBS. I haven't even used it in the 2 years I have had it though.

I bought a Frankford Arsenal kinetic puller and used it for the first time today. I'd seen someone on a Youtube video recommending the use of a shell holder instead of the collets that came with the puller. I tried both, and I think the shell holder is easier to use.

O.K. Update...I ordered one, and it was paid by PayPal on Jan. 17. Claimed they'd send a confirmation/order number by email. Ordered through my wife's PayPal account. I got a confirmation the order had been received, but my wife hasn't received the confirmation and order # promised. Emailed them 1/30, but, no response, and the phone number listed has been disconnected.
I bought a couple years ago and had no issues. Not bad, not good, just as expected. I placed an order and it came in the mail.

This is the website: https://grip-n-pull.com/. It has a 2024 trademark, so I think still legit. I can not find a phone number anywhere on the site.
