i just finished loading a hundred rounds of 45acp on my single-stage press. as luck would have it, i needed to crack open a new box of bear creek supply 230 gn. round nose bullets (500 ct.). on a whim, i weighed the last bullet in the old box and came up with 232.2 grains. then i weighed the next four bullets from the new box. all four bullets were exactly 232.2 grains, or +/- only .1 grains.

this is a moly coated lead bullet. and, loaded within reason, the bullet doesn't lead my barrels. i think this is crazy good consistency between boxes of bullets. these bullets are also very accurate in my g30 pistol. i have been using bear creek bullets for many years and have found them to always be this consistent.

no, i don't work for or get paid by bear creek to say this. i just thought i'd share this little tidbit of info.

I had never heard of Bear Creek Supply until I read your post. I'll look for them in the future. Thank you for the head's up and the vote of confidence in their product.

By the way, I see you're in Arizona. That's where my wife and I got engaged. And we regularly go back to Phoenix. In the summertime. 104 with next to no humidity is a lot nicer than 100 degrees in Dallas with 30% humidity. Spent a lot of time at the Pioneer Living History Museum. I love Phoenix in the summer - a city with all the amenities for 5 million people but with 2 million of them gone for the summer is a tourist's dream.

until the 104 goes up to 118! the snowbirds (retirees from the north that winter in the valley of the sun) start arriving in november. i really can't tell the 2 million difference. it is crowded either way.

bear creek doesn't sell to individuals. you can go on their website and find a dealer in your area.

I am in Southern CA, I know that feeling, low humidity makes it feel cooler but a 115 is still 115.

+ side is wet tumbled case dry quick in the summer sun.
(of course they may be to hot to touch when dry):)

Try 100 at 85% humidity, It is pure misery. That's what we get here in the Carolina's. I will have to check out Bear Creek bullets, I haven't heard of them before either.

i lived in orlando a while back. i remember 95 degrees and 95 percent humidity. pure misery! the 118 degrees was the hottest it got this summer. not an all-time record, but close.

i moved up into the hills by prescott about fourteen years ago. twenty five years getting cooked in the phoenix area was enough for me.
