Looking for some info on the Burris XTR II 2-10 power. Not a lot of reviews or talk about it online but I found it looking at Larue's combo kits with scopes and mounts.

My specific question is what is the reticle like at low power. It is a FFP scope and I wanted to know what kind of reticle I'd be looking at on low power. I understand it is going to be small at 2x, but how small?

Any comments about other brands with FFP and similar to 2-10 power would be helpful. Cant find a shop locally with any of these in stock to look at first hand.

Also, any comments on how these compare to the Vortex PST 2-10?

I've never looked through a 2-10 but I can tell you my Steiner 5-25's reticle is pretty small at 5x making illumination needed to actually use the reticle at that low of magnification. That's usually the only down side to the FFP scopes is that at lower power the reticle can get tiny. I never use any lower than 8x or so for a wide field of view to spot targets then usually run in the 15x+ range so I don't know how useful a 2x range will be. Could be a good AR scope though as illumination at 2x could almost make it like a red dot sight in a pinch.
