I would like to take 9/11 BACK from the U.S. propaganda machine and make it a day for the militias to meet, or at least a day for americans to arm themselves with modern firearms and extra ammo.
Gonna be hard. Only thing on my list is a S&W 29, preferably 29-2. Only thing around here that I could find was a 29-10. Maybe I might go for one of the P-38s or a CZ-75 in one of the local shops.
My gun buy for 9/11 will be a couple of days late; the Kimber Stainless Target II in 10mm will be in sometime next week. I may be able to make it to the range, though, if I take care of my prior obligations for the day soon enough.
While not directly related to the 9/11 anniversary, the increasing mess from the jihad nutcases has made me think having something a little more effective than a .30-30 around again is a good idea. (Yeah, not the most logical thing I know, but it makes me feel better.)
.. so I just ordered the parts to finish out the lower for an AR. It'll be a while till she's all ready to go, but at least I'll be part way there.
As a dedicated black powder shooter, I have to warn you that they are addictive. Don't ask me how I know. And don't tell my wife about my latest order from DGW.
Oh joy. Let's support the commericalization of a tragic day in American History! Don't forget your t-shirts, bumber stickers, and the all important 9-11 Victims Party after work!!
(I'm not sure if I'm joking, being sarcastic, offended, or just grumpy...)
I still have to drive through America's hat (sorry, Canada, but your gun laws give me reason to harass you ) on the 18th from AK to OR, so I'll buy my 9-11 tribute when I get back to good old wonderful gun law Oregon...
Now as to what I need (want?), thats up for debate...
