This doesn't happen often enough to post in the reloading components thread but it may be helpful to folks w/o a LGS who don't want/need case quantity.
I just completed an order for 1 brick of WIN WSP primers, delivered to my door, for $80 + tax. (No hazmat and free shipping over $25.)
As mentioned, the deal doesn't show up often nor does it last long as they sell out quick.

I’m choking as I say this: “Not bad”

I’m not gonna do the “I remember when…” routine, I’m just gonna congratulate you on getting primers before you need them.
Yes, it’s still less costly to reload, even plinking ammo, in just about everything EXCEPT the NATO cartridges: 9x19, 7.62x51 and 5.56x45. Even with 80-cent primers.

I still haven't figured out how they ~absorb/address~ hazmat and free shipping with a $25 min order.
I ordered 1 pound of CFE Pistol earlier, mainly to see if it would actually arrive at my door. It was the only item in my order and it showed up as advertised.
Again, the availability is sporadic at best, but for someone who might want just a brick, it's a bit better deal than Midway,,,,, Larry wants $136.53 + tax for the same brick shipped to my door,,,

Exactly. I'm not out of spp, just replenishing as I go.
I'm fortunate as I could have hopped in the car and drove 20 minutes to get the same deal. Some folks aren't so lucky. Hoping this might help.

I try to buy local... to save on the HazMat fees. Just yesterday, I bought 2 bricks of CCI SPP's, $85, plus 8.25% sales tax. I try to pace myself... If I'm buying online, I try to wait for the 'free shipping and HazMat' sales and such... but you never know when they are coming.

To wit: I bought a 500 box of Sierra 169grn .308 SMK's from Powder Valley... the very next day they had a 'free shipping' event. Oh, well...

I don't find places that offer no Hazmat at all! Probably looking in all the wrong places. Last month, a local store had a sale, and I got a brick of CCI 500s for $62 otd. It took some gas to drive there and pick up my order, which they had reserved for me, but that is still less than paying for Hazmat or what the online Banditos around here are demanding...$85-100, and their negotiation idea is "Take it or Leave it!" So, now, I have suficient put by to last me a good while...and at 85, I try not to buy green Bananas. :D

I went to a gun show near Atlanta this past Sunday and met a vendor that gad LMRPs and they are like hens teeth around here so I made him an offer to trade 1000 LRPs and he said OK.

We exchanged numbers and agreed to meet at his store some time this week. Looking at the tag on mine, I paid $19.00 per 1000 and thought I was getting robbed then.

He is selling in- store for $150.00 per 1000.
Federal LMRP.

Holy Cats! He wouldn't be selling them to me. I have no quams going to factory loads. I won't be held hostage by them. I was buying factory loads for 241.00/k out the door as a contingency when the price of primers was at 120/k. Now I haven't seen them for a while but I bought 3k of them when they were available. The private range I belong to will get them back again. I'm a patient man.
I won't be running out of anything anytime soon so I can wait and watch, and not over pay.
9mmepiphany said he was buying small pistol primers for $62.00 delivered to his door from American Reloading.

American Reloading. When I checked the other day, they were down to $310/5k ($62/k) and the last time I ordered, there was an additional discount at 10k...(I want to say $10, but don't quote me)...that price included shipping and HazMat
That's another avenue for our members. Just keep checking the sights and watching even if you don't need them now, you will later.

@Dudedog and I think of our primers as the new currency. I go to the dentist and it cost me a brick and a half of primers, or the grocery store just cost me a full case of 5k.
We are poking fun at our bad situation.
Watch and buy smart.
