I am a resident of AZ. I moved to a different address and haven't changed my address on my license can I use my car registration in conjunction with my ID to purchase a gun from a dealer?

It's just a question because I know it works when doing other things just wondering about this. Please don't tell me to just change my address on my license, I will, I just was asking a question

Thanks

Does your car registration have your new address? Cabelas let me do it with my car registration because I had the same scenario you did. I can't speak for other dealers.

I've done it with registration, too.

5 years after moving from my first address in AZ, I finally broke down and got my address changed on my DL: took all of about 10 minutes.

You must provide an ID (up to 2 forms if needed) that are government issued and together show:
-Name
-Photo
-Current Address
-Birthdate
Hope this helps, also do understand that it is up to the FFL to accept this or not. They can under their own policy require current address on an AZ DL/ID and it is perfectly legal. We risk a lot by going off the norm on a sale/transfer, during compliance inspections by BATFE the IO zeros in on anything out of the norm and it is usually up to the FFL to prove it is correct.

I have an old address on my driver license card.

I purchased using my voter ID card along with my license.

Ironically*, I didn't have my CCW card. I had my LEO badge and commission card. They still had to perform the full Brady check, LOL. It only took 5 minutes.

*It seemed ironic that the CCW has more traction then the LEO badge and card from the same jurisdiction.

As long as your new address is in arizona, you can still buy using your old license.

This is assuming the DL number stays the same for each re-newal, like they do in Nebraska
