Buying handgun by date of maunufacture

Hi
Is there any place I can buy a handgun by date of manufacture ?
I would lke to get one from the year I was born ( 1958 ) .
There was a sweet Smith and Wesson K38 Combat Masterpiece
on Gunbroker the other day . Unfortuantely Didn't
bid enough .

You didn't make it clear if you are interested in ANY firearm made during 1958, or a particular make and/or model. If, for example you wanted a Smith & Wesson K-38 Combat Masterpiece / Model 15 a post to that effect on The High Road would probably turn up the information that the serial number range for this particular make and model during 1958 was K317,823 to K350,547. With that knowledge you'd know what too look for.
