Yes, totally fine. That gun is "featureless" so if you have some legally owned 15 or 30 rd mags, you can use them in the gun as well.

Unless it has a bayonet lug...

A bayonet lug is NOT one of California's evil features:

30515(a) Notwithstanding PC section 30510, assault weapon shall
also mean the following: Rifles
1. A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept
a detachable magazine CCR 11 § 5469 (a) and any one of the
following:

A pistol grip CCR 11 § 5469 (d)
A thumbhole stock. CCR 11 § 5469 (e)
A folding or telescoping stock.
A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
A flash suppressor. CCR 11 § 5469 (b)
A forward pistol grip. CCR 11 § 5469 (c)

2. A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with
the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

3. A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle t hat has an overall length of
less than 30 inches.

(The OP appears to live Chandler AZ.)

Just to be clear, those mags of greater than 10 round capacity, have to have been owned in CA prior to the ban and are not transferable to someone else in CA.

So, if you owned them in CA prior to the ban, you can still use them (unless you live in the really bad cities)

If you are selling the rifle, whether or not you live in CA, you can not transfer the mags to someone else in CA regardless of when they were acquired.

If you are buying the rifle in CA you can not take possession of the mags from someone else regardless of when or where they were acquired.

If you are the seller of the rifle and you are in CA, you can sell the mags to someone outside of CA.

I think Los Angeles just got a new law that nobody can have mags holding more than 10 rounds regardless of when they were acquired. Not sure about all the details, it doesn't apply to me so I just kind of noticed it in passing.

Yes.... I'm fuzzy on the details as well.

Loosely said - LA, SF, and some city in 'the Bay Area'/'Silicon Valley area'.

If you believe you are correct, would you cite the source of your information.

If you don't know, why would you spread bad information?

The "bayonet lug" FUD is a leftover from the 1994 Federal AWB, which did ban rifles with bayonet lugs.
Lots of confused casual gun owners still conflate that with the CA rules. In fact, I took a carbine course a few weeks ago. The instructor, a retired local LEO, tried to tell me that my featureless rifle was an AW because it had a bayonet lug.
I had to send him a copy of the Calguns flow chart to gently remind him what the rules actually were...

And this was a guy who made his second career teaching people to shoot their ARs.......in CA!

Sunnyvale.

Lawsuits in progress for SF and Sunnyvale; LA is probably coming up. IIRC, it is not yet in effect, so cannot yet be challenged.

Thanks for clarifying the other city, Librarian...... but I 'think' it is in effect now

As I remember it and found a couple sources that seemed to confirm..... it would go into effect 30 Days after signed.

According to this, it was signed on 08-07-15
