Years ago I was at our range to requalify with my SIG P226. My buddy, Chuck B was in the next lane with his 1911. He asked me if I wanted to try it before my turn. I had never shot one before. After 6 rds, I asked him if I could qualify with it. Lo and behold I ran a perfect requal: 50 rds. I ordered a Kimber Stainless Target that day and would have started carrying it soon after if it had been 100%, but the hook was set. Traded for a Springfield Loaded, not nearly as accurate, but 100% for 10 years and 1000's of rds. Not satisfied with the accuracy of the Springer, I added a Kimber Target Master. Again very accurate, but again not 100%. I still have my SA Loaded, but now carry a Les Baer. It is reliable and has far more accuracy than I can shoot. Why do I carry it? Because as Clint Smith says, a gun should be comforting, not comfortable, although in a Milt Sparks holster it is both.
