As stated you need a passport;
You need a guide for bear;
You register your firearm at the border;
you register your bear with US customs on the way back;
Buy a bug suit, with gloves and duct tape and separate head-net for quick trips outside;
buy a therma-cell;
expect rain; go out immediately when it stops, bears will move.

We drove so I can't answer questions about airlines.

Good luck and have fun. Stay away from the Coffee Liqueur. The Mainiacs drink it like water. It's dreadful, and you'll wake up on a garbage scow in Nova Scotia.
