Finally got around to putting on a tritium front sight, swapped the grips to some g-10’s, and did some stoning/polishing to the actual trigger as well as some innards on an old tristar c-100.

Slicked up pretty nice. Can’t wait to get some rounds down range and possibly add this 15+1 beauty to the carry rotation.

Tristar stopped importing them a few years ago, they offered a few models that were interesting. Alloy framed SP01 and alloy framed compact with safety.

They are not clones of the CZ 75 design, Cajun Gun Works at one time made some specific Tristar parts. Tristar for some reason, copied the CZ 75 than decided to tweak the part dimensions so some parts don't swap.

Mine is the lower one in the pic.

I am still on the hunt for a .40 version. As far as I can tell, the frames and slides are interchangeable. I’d probably never shoot the .40, but an all steel vs aluminum frame gives me the warm fuzzies. I did some of the cgw parts swap out 8 or 9 years ago when they still offered them.

The trigger face sucks and pinched my xl hands, hence the stoning, 1000 grit, etc.

The front sight swap just took some meticulous fitting, but totally worth it. The new sight is too tall, but I can adjust via redneck elevation

Thanks for picking up my slack

I was thinking about a 40 Canik. I have a TPSF and a TPSX. Im impressed with the triggers on them. I think they are one of the best striker fired gun i have ever shot.

They were good deals. The prices were insanely low for the quality of the product. I was wanting a specific set-up in .40 S&W but never got around to it. Then Tristar stopped importing 'em. I'm not a CZ platform guy, but Tristar did have my attention. Oh well.... I'll stick with my S&W 3rd Gens and Berettas. But I do wish Tristar still imported them because they were a great option on the market for folks that did like the CZ platform.
