I see them being roasted on other Forums. Not for bad accuracy or reliability, just that "There's too many of them flooding the market." Odd kind of complaint. I have no experience with the guns, just what I've read. I have read some good reviews on them. Any opinions?

IMG_20220303_145504671_HDR.jpg I've got the latest version called the Rival and love it. I had a TP9SFX which I also loved, but the Rival suits me even better. The trigger is phenomenal, but of course most everyone thinks that the trigger on their striker fired gun is the best. But the trigger really is good and the reset is really short. I added the grip sleeve and have since added a Vortex Venom red dot. So consider me a big fan.

I have a c100 and a t100. One is a Cz75 compact clone the other is a Jericho clone. Which itself is a Cz75 clone. I love them. I got them both inexpensively. They shoot well and feel great in my hand. I have not tried any of the striker guns. Is it possible to flood the market? If they don’t have a market they won’t sell. I certainly saw a share of them during the pandemic. I’m pretty covered up as far as needs. But I would buy a striker model as a stash gun.

I haven't heard any complaints about them other than a teeny tiny demographic who don't like them for no other reason than the country they're manufactured in.

Not sure about the last time I've heard anything negative about them.

I have a TP9SFx with a Vortex Venom red dot as well. I too think they have great triggers for an inexpensive firearm. Well built, come with a few RDS plates, a couple different backstraps. No issues for me.

My youngest just turned 21 and bought his first hand gun. A Canik TP9 Elite SC in Bronze was his choice. It's a good shooter so far and hasn't had a failure in about 400 rounds. This model, the rear iron sights stay on when the optic plate is removed. On my SFx, the rear sight comes off with the plate.

I wouldn't say the Elite SC has suppressor height sights, but they seem to stand taller than most iron sights. I'm thinking for the RDS co-witness.

Not to fanboy too hard. But Canik has received UN certification and holds ISO 9000 certs. In my mind this puts them above Girsan and SDS. I will say as they have proven themselves reliable in the US their price point has moved up. So what used to be a 400 to 450 price point is now higher. If it gets too close to the price of a Glock there is no motivation not to buy a Glock. I’m not sure if it’s on the retail end or the wholesale end. So it may be the suppliers not the manufacturer upping the cost.

You will also be amazed how nice is the case that you will get with accessories and a holster

My TP9sfx is the only striker fired gun that I have ever felt was worth owning. The ergonomics are great - much like a CZ. Really, really good trigger right out of the box. All the internals that I would normally polish were already done by the factory. Put the Galloway kit in it with a Glock 6lb. striker spring and that really good trigger turns in to an amazing one. With the Burris FF3 it is like shooting a laser.

My only sort-of complaint is that the throat was a little short for my favorite reloads, which about 50% of my 9mm didn't like either. A few turns with my carbide reamer took care of that.

so far i like my rival darkside. my first canik i bought a few weeks ago. the trigger is great and good value for the price. i kinda feel similar to when i bought my first cz.

I was gifted one shot two mags so far, I will say I had no jams but the ejection is very weak, have also seen video of similar issues.

I bought a tp9sfx 2 years ago and use it as my carry optics gun for idpa and steel challenge. According to my records it has upwards of 10k rounds through it. only issue i have had is with the original dot I put on it.

I have an older model hammer fired all steel unit called a Stingray. From what little I understand, it's like a compact CZ75. The only flaw it has is it does not have a slide cut for a RDS. Oh well, I don't have to put a RDS on it.

Fit and finish are good, works fine...no complaints, and have received nothing but compliments by any who have shot it.
And...it was cheap...I mean, cost effective. I paid $300.

I have never found the appeal of Caniks. Most of the designs I have seen are just knock offs of Walther. I saw one review calling the TP9 the most innovative firearm ever made. When in reality, Walther made all those innovations in the P99. In 1997. There are even videos of swapping the slides off both models and they still fire. No thanks. I would rather pay a little more and get the Walthers.
