carrying a 'budget' gun?

I will be getting my CCW permit soon, and I will probably be carrying one of several "budget" guns. Probably my primary gun will be a Astra A-75 9mm, with a EAA Witness 9mm, or my Beretta 84 .380 as backups. All three of these cost less than $300 used, and appear to be totally reliable, as reliable as any semiauto gun can be.

If I was looking to get a budget gun for carry I'd stick with a CZ82 or another similar-sized MAK. Those P-64's are about as small as I could fit into my hand but practice with them is a pain. I do't how that would factor in if I ever had to use it. However, the CZ82 is a pretty good fit and the milsurps are still coming in a little over $200.

All of the guns I have ever carried were $350 or less! That includes a Norinco 1911A1 and a S&W Model 10-8 as the highest of the bunch.

Some of those budget guns are more reliable than the primo stuff. Watch the classifieds for a used J Frame and you'll have a first class carry piece for $ 300.00. Spend a little over $ 200.00 and you have a new Keltec if you shop correctly. Both are great.
