It's tempting to resurrect one of the older sodbuster threads, but this one is to celebrate an increasingly rare yellow-handled, large Case Sob Buster in CV steel, and its adoption into a new home.

I've posted pictures of this one before, for example [post=4574279]in this thread[/post].

I have some more photos that I took last weekend, but they need to be resized before I present them here.

If the new owner would like to chime in, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to hear his first impressions.

I really, really like this Sodbuster and I've never had one before, which is wierd since I must have 50 Case knives. And sharp? I'd clamp it up on the Wicked Edge but it's already laser sharp.

Now let's see that Orange Seahorse that found a new home!

I had to take some pics, even though AG showed it very well:

The handle is comfortable to me even though it's BIG as I have big hands. :)

A good all round work knife ive moved to a fixed blade. But my sodbusters see alot of time in the kitchen these days. Im sure they'll get back into carry duty soon.

Need a few spare minutes and a quiet word with my camera.

Probably tomorrow.

Very glad you like that soddie.

I still have its twin, although it's got a [post=4357143]nice satin grey patina[/post] now.

I'll post the Seahorse pix in a separate thread. Purty knife.

Likin' it a lot.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I'm curious. My Case knives are all stainless. What are the CV Case knives like? Also, is the yellow delrin they offer these days the same as in the photos in the OP? I really like the look of those handles.

It's carbon steel and many here prefer it to the stainless blades. I know I can get a carbon blade sharper than I can a stainless one.

That I'm not sure of - I'd like to say it's the same but really don't know. It's really yellow!

Love them Soddies.. I have a few in the works now that are S30v :) Someday I may actually finish them, but I still love my yellow CV. Crazy sharp......

I've looked high and low for a large Case ,CV Yellow handled Sodbuster to no avail.
I saw one at a gun show last year but some yokel had ruined it by his sharpening tecnique.
